A Personal Mission to Help Seniors Age Safely at Home in Northern Virginia
After more than 25 years working in healthcare, as a Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients and supporting families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Throughout my career, one thing became very clear to me:
Many families want their loved ones to remain safely at home, but they often struggle to find reliable, compassionate support they can truly trust.
I frequently met families who were overwhelmed trying to balance work, family, and caring for an aging parent. Others were navigating difficult transitions after a hospital stay or trying to support a loved one living with dementia.
Too often they would ask,

That question is what inspired us to create Devoted Care.

As a nurse practitioner, I personally oversee the care provided by our caregivers. My medical background allows us to better understand the complex health needs that many seniors face and to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and therapists when coordination of care is needed.
